Student organizer, U.M. Student Chapter, MontanaHPHC
Isabelle Johnson is majoring in Biology and plans to be a Montana pediatrician someday. She took over running the UM Student Chapter of MtHPHC from Chelsea Kuiper, PhD candidate, who is still our board member.
Isabella has lived through wildfire smoke seasons. That and learning of climate disasters around the world gave both her a personal and societal understanding of the impacts we are having on our climate. She wants to make a positive impact, raise awareness and aiding organizations to find solutions to the climate crisis. Hence, the blood drive she arranged this spring as increasing natural disasters increase the need for blood bank products. The drive was a great success, filling all appointment slots that day! She also helped arrange a documentary showing and panel discussion last fall. She joined SHPHC after hearing about it in her Anatomy and Physiology class, with Chelsea Kuiper and Amelda Klink presenting about it. She has worked with this organization for a couple year, and now leads the group. She loves planning events and working with others to help them succeed! For fun, Isabelle loves to be outdoors, hiking and camping. Spending time with friends and loved ones is something she treasures. She also likes to spend time with her pets or volunteering at the cat shelter in Missoula. Otherwise, you'll find her reading or cooking a good meal. She’s from Kalispell, graduating from Glacier High School. Go Wolfpack! See the student page here www.montanahphc.org/students.html |
