Stormwater is the main contaminant of water bodies across the world. They have city planners and researchers and organized a fantastic , science-based symposium for the entire town!

1st Montana Youth Climate Summit
Livingston | Oct 2023

50 high schoolers from across the state converged on Livingston to collaborate, learn, and spend time in the Montana climate space. Plans are for this to be an annual event. MontanaHPHC and the Climate Committee of the Montana Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics co-sponsored the event.

Each year health professionals across the globe cycle miles to generate buzz about our changing climate and its' effects on our patients' health. We had a fantastic turnout this year, and we're so thankful for the 60+ people who signed up and spent the day with us. Major thanks go to our partner Billings Trailnet as well!  KULR8 and the Billings Gazette wrote some great articles, and we hope everyone who came out can take away something to remember.

Climate Change and Human Health Film Showing

 We joined forces with Billings CCL, Yellowstone Valley Citizens Council, and the Montana League of Women voters to put on a showing of our four short documentaries on climate & health with a community discussion at the Billings Public Library. These films speak to the research done by the Montana Climate Assessment team in their 2021 report, "Climate Change and Human Health in Montana." Conversation was led by Teresa Wicks, RN, and over 50 people attended!

K-8 Yellowstone Audubon Art Contest 2023
Billings

Imagining a world of clear skies and clean lands that we can all enjoy!
Montana Audubon, along with the Children's Clinic of Billings, The Climate Committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics, co-sponsored this regional art contest with us.
The top 10 in each age category - (k-2, 3-5, 6-8) were displayed in virtual and physical art gallery exhibitions in May at the Billings Library, the Yellowstone Art Museum, and the Children's Clinic of Billings, then through the summer at the Audubon Center.

Art Display:
From May 8th to May 28th we hosted an exhibition at the Billings Public Library, the Yellowstone Art Museum, and the Children's Clinic.

​Awards ceremony June 10 at the Montana Audubon Center was attended by over 50 students and family members
