Minnesotan Nurse Dr Teddie Potter, an amazing climate advocate, was the Keynote.

Stormwater Symposium

The amazing green team of the Red Lodge High School have been water sampling and looking for solutions realted to stormwater contamination of our precious Rock Creek. Stormwater is the main contaminant of water bodies across the world. They have city planners and researchers and organized a fantastic , science-based symposium for the entire town! Kate Belinda is an inspiring and engaging teacher. The town of Red Lodge is so blessed.

At 39 years old, Danny Smithopens in a new tab or window should have been enjoying the prime of his life. Instead, he was struggling to breathe after receiving the devastating diagnosis of progressive massive fibrosis, more commonly known as complicated black lung disease. This fatal, progressive disease was caused by his 12 years spent mining coal. By age 46, he was choosing his gravesite. People like Smith are often financially dependent on coal mining. But, as investigative reporter Howard Berkes observed, "work should not be a death sentence."

In 2022, Congress took a historic step to address climate change and improve public health by passing the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Together with the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, this law represents the largest investment in clean energy and climate solutions in U.S. history. Now is a vital time to protect this important legislation.
There are three vital actions you can take:

If you have 5 minutes, send a note via the link below to your representatives, explaining how the IRA has protected health in your state.
If you have 10 minutes, call your lawmakers office (voicemails are great too!) using the script at the link below.
If you have 15 minutes, schedule a meeting with your representatives so you can advocate for the IRA in-person.
