 Our board members Lori and Rob Byron recently came together with Montanan and Mongolian experts for a field course in Climate Change and Public Health through the American Center for Mongolian Studies. The team visited hospitals, clinics, and herders, many of whom are displaced due to climate change. Healthcare professionals in Mongolia are far more aware of the health effects of poor air quality, due in part to the situation Mongolia is facing.

It was such a privilege to be there cheering them on during this historic week.
We're standing in support of the youth plaintiffs of Held v. Montana, the first constitutional climate change case in the United States. Dr. Lori Byron closed out the second day of proceedings as an expert witness on the harmful effects of climate change on children's' health. This historic trial goes from June 12th - 20th.  The Billings Library displayed 3rd - 5th grade winners during the month of May. MTHPHC, Audobon, the Pediatric Climate Committee, and the Billings Children's clinic collaborated on this contest, which features showings from entrants aged K - 8. Prizes were provided by First Interstate Bank, Billings Children's Clinic, Wise Wonders Children's Museum, Steep World, the Oasis, R.E.I., Air Trampoline Park, Yellowstone Art Museum, and the MT Audubon Center. The top ten from each age category are on display now at the Montana Audobon Center in Billings. Stop by and take a look! Here's a sneak peak:
 Seventy health professionals from a wide variety of fields joined us for our first annual Climate & Health conference on February 18, 2023! We had a wonderful day, with fantastic speakers, rich discussion, and many new friends. Thank you to everyone who attended (and braved the cold weather)!

 Electric buses lower diesel exposure for our kids. We called for Montana communities to apply for EV buses after the EPA doubled their funding for this program this year. This was an important year for us! The 2021 Climate Change and Human Health Report (otherwise known as C2H2) was published! This is an archival post of all our actions this year.
 Zoom board meetings can still be fun - look at our smiling faces! Just as we got up and running... BOOM! Covid-19 threw a wrench in everybody's plans. We stayed busy writing letters to Congress, giving lectures on Zoom, and launching a major effort to write op-eds for local papers to spread the word about climate and health.  What a first year it was! There's nothing like the whirlwind of starting a nonprofit. Putting together a board, articles of incorporation, and many, many strategic planning documents!
