Our Medical Society Alliances


Medical Society Allies are Medical Societies that recognize that air pollution and climate change are impacting human health. They realize that health care providers are influential and can help protect their patients/clients with education, and motivate their patients/clients to action.

National Organizations

The American Lung Association is the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through education, advocacy and research.

The Global Climate and Health Alliance is an alliance of health NGOs, health professional organizations, and health and environment alliances from around the world. Members of the Alliance are united by a shared vision of an equitable, sustainable future, where the health impacts of climate change are minimized and the health co-benefits of climate mitigation are maximized.

The mission of the Consortium is to mobilize and amplify the voices of U.S. doctors, in partnership with public health experts and fellow health professionals, to successfully advocate for equitable climate solutions that protect and promote the health of all people.
Affiliates of the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health are health and science organizations that are aligned with the Consensus Statement regarding the health threats of climate change and the health benefits of solutions (decreasing fossil fuel use).

Montana HPHC is a Founding Collaborator. The Cooperative addresses scale and coordination of the healthcare community's response to climate, work on actionable research,  and effective research translation.

CAC is a vibrant coalition of a dozen major national environment, environmental justice, and public health groups, working together to drive ambitious, durable federal action based on science to address the climate crisis.
MTHPHC is grateful for the continued leadership of the foremost authorities on climate health in this place: the Selish, Ql̓ispe,& Ksanka, Niitsitapi (Pikuni), Annishinabe (Ne-i-yah-wahk), A’aninin, Nokado & Nakona, Lakota & Dakota, Tsetshessthase & So'taa'eo'o, Apsáalooke, and Annishinabe/Metis (Little Shell Band) nations. We endeavor to follow their examples, remembering those who have passed before us, and caring for future generations.
