​Coordinator Job Description (ALREADY FILLED)

Part-time Coordinator, Montana Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate
10 hours a week, virtual, flexible, $25.00/hour
 
Vision: We seek to promote the health of Montanans through education, science, advocacy, and action. 
Job Summary: Montana Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate (Montana HPHC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to stimulating action related to climate change.    We are seeking a part-time, virtual Coordinator to enhance our capacity and efforts toward those goals.   We are in search of an Administrator who is aligned with our culture and will continue to enhance the culture through positive leadership.
Montana HPHC at 3 years old, occupies an important place in climate education and advocacy in Montana.  From the health professional and the human health viewpoint, we can reach populations that many groups involved in climate action cannot.  From talks to health providers, communities and churches, to organizing events, to collaborating in a state wide network of climate concerned groups and individuals, to working with government officials, we are a vibrant and strategic voice.

Qualifications:
  • Thorough commitment to Montana HPHC’s mission
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Montana resident
  • Computer skills
  • Strong written communication skills 
  • Good public speaking ability
  • Strong work ethic, self-directed, with a high degree of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Transparent and high integrity leadership.
  • Solid organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education in health, environment, or business
  • Experience with fundraising and/or grant writing
  • Potential for long-term commitment to the position
Job responsibilities
  • Newsletter production
  • Membership – greeting new members, updating membership lists
  • Website and social media
  • Assist in grant writing
  • General assistance with operation of the organization
Should funding allow, and coordinator is willing, hours and responsibilities may increase in the future to include
  • Strategic planning
  • Oversight of committees
  • Financial planning
  • Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors
