1) Part-time Program Coordinator, Montana Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate
15-25 hours a week, virtual, flexible, $23-25.00/hour
Montana Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate (Montana HPHC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of climate change as a public health issue. As a collective of health professionals and organizations we work with communities, organizations, public agencies and health systems throughout Montana to address climate change as a public health issue. Through science, education, and advocacy we foster an understanding of the connection between climate change and human health, collaboratively develop potential solutions and promote climate-positive actions at the personal, local and federal levels. Our diverse network of health professionals are leading advocates for climate-positive action including healthy lifestyle changes, responsive community resources and a rapid transition to renewable energy.
We are seeking a part-time, virtual Program Coordinator to enhance our capacity and efforts. This is a 1099/contract position. The position is currently funded for two years. Should additional funding allow, and the Coordinator is willing, hours and responsibilities may increase in the future.

2) Graduate Student in a health field: Climate and Health Education Campaign Developer

10 hours/week, $20.00/hour for approximately 5 months starting immediately.
Qualifications: Graduate-level student pursuing an advanced degree in a health related field
Montana Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate is embarking on a multi-faceted climate and health education campaign for Montana Health Care Professionals and their clients and patients.
The student will be responsible for exploring health effects of wildfire smoke, drought and possibly other conditions, write copy and assist with development of posters, patient education, and online learning. They will research and review resources currently available from other organizations and websites and work to create Montana-centric materials. They will be mentored by Montana healthcare professionals involved in climate and health work.

- Project management, oversight and evaluation – budgets, timelines, deliverables, publicity
Event planning and management
Public outreach
Newsletter production
Website and social media updates
Membership – greeting new members, updating membership lists
General assistance with operation of the organization
Travel for outreach and events – approximately 10% of time

Qualifications and Capabilities:
- Thorough commitment to Montana HPHC’s mission
Montana resident
Bachelor’s degree
Project management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all channels (phone, in-person, email, social media, public speaking, etc.)
Exceptional planning and organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at once
Effective community-engagement and relationship-building skills
Strong technology skills and social media fluency
Creative thinker and problem solver
Self-directed with ability to work independently and remotely
Strong work ethic with a high degree of energy and enthusiasm
Transparent and high integrity leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Non-profit experience
Education in health, environment, or business
Development experience – donor cultivation, sponsorships, grant writing and reporting
