FARM TO CLINICIAN

Picture
Picture

The brainchild of Dr Colette Kirchhoff, the Planetary Health Course helps medical, nursing, and dietetic students prepare for holistic patient care. Dr. Kirchhoff is a family medicine and palliative care physician who teaches in the WWAMI program at MSU.

Very few medical students get the recommended number of hours of nutrition training (many of us in practice got zero hours when we were in medical school!) Students learn the importance of food for overall health. They also learn about regenerative agriculture, sustainable ranch practices and locally raised foods.
